The RM of Dufferin experienced a flood event in the spring of 2022 and as a result, the Abbott Bridge, a 5-span timber bridge, sustained significant damage.  Samson was contracted to Design and Build the replacement crossing of a three span, 90’ long, 28’ wide CL-625 load rated steel and concrete bridge. The scope of work includes demolishing the existing timber bridge, design and installation of the new structure, permitting, clay roadway build-up, road gravelling, topsoil, seeding, installation of rip-rap erosion protection, and side slope erosion protection on the roadway.
