The McCauley Crossing, located in the Rural Municipality of Moose Creek No. 33, SK, was a collapsed low concrete level crossing that has been closed to traffic since 2011. Samson was contracted to Design and Build the replacement crossing of a clear span, 60’ long 28’ wide CL-800 load-rated steel and concrete bridge. The scope of work included the design of the new structure, permitting, clay roadway build-up, road gravelling, top soil, seeding, installation of rip-rap erosion protection, and side slope erosion protection on the roadway.
