The Minshull Bridge, located in the Municipality of Two Borders, was deteriorated and damaged by previous flooding events. Samson was contracted to Design and Build the replacement of the crossing with a new CL-625 load-rated steel and concrete bridge. The scope of work was to demolish the existing timber bridge, design and construct new steel and pre-cast concrete abutments, supply and install a bridge-in-a-box (BIAB) superstructure, and widen 700m of municipal road. The BIAB was designed and fabricated by Armtec-Canada Culvert, and was transported to site assembled, then craned into place in two segments.
